Amorius Releases "Ethno Code," An Exploration of Ukrainian Music Tradition

Freeform Tradition Festival participant Amorius has unveiled his latest album, "Ethno Code." This release is a captivating blend of Ukrainian folk traditions and contemporary electronic music.

By incorporating traditional instruments like the bandura, cymbal, and flute, Amorius breathes new life into these timeless sounds. The album's five tracks offer a sonic journey through Ukrainian legends and myths, seamlessly fusing ancient melodies with modern rhythms.

"I've always been passionate about showcasing Ukrainian electronic music in a fresh and innovative way," says Amorius. "With 'Ethno Code,' I aimed to harmonize Ukrainian traditions with contemporary musical trends."

Recorded in various locations across Ukraine, the album features a blend of field recordings and studio production. Some sounds were captured on a simple tape recorder and later digitized, adding a raw and authentic quality to the music.
