Edition 2025 Theme: Lines and Borders

We are happy to announce the theme for the upcoming FreeForm Tradition Festival 2025: Lines / Borders.

This theme explores the complexities of boundaries and their ambiguity. While lines can divide and limit, they can also create safe and comfortable spaces. We recognize the delicate balance between opening boundaries and respecting individual identities. Our festival aims to create a space where diverse perspectives can coexist without perpetuating stereotypes or reinforcing divisions.

We invite artists and audiences to join us in a dialogue about the nature of borders and dreaming about the future in which borders become more permeable and inclusion and security are promoted instead of limitation.
